🚨 BIG BREAKING NEWS | SAHARANPUR Liquor Shop Salesman Lokesh Murder Case Solved, 5 Accused Arrested
Saharanpur/Nagal: In a major breakthrough, Nagal Police, along with the SWAT and Surveillance teams, has claimed to have solved the murder case of liquor shop salesman Lokesh. Police have arrested five alleged accused in connection with the case.
According to the police, the accused allegedly planned to rob Lokesh after learning about his daily routine and the cash he reportedly carried after closing the liquor shop.
🔴 The Incident
According to the police, the incident took place on the night of August 14. Lokesh was returning home on his motorcycle after closing the liquor shop.
Police claim that the accused knew that Lokesh usually closed the shop at around 10 PM and carried cash in a red backpack.
The accused allegedly followed Lokesh on two motorcycles. Near the ITI area, they allegedly intercepted him and caused his motorcycle to fall into a roadside water-filled ditch.
⚠️ Police Claim Lokesh Was Drowned
According to the police version, the accused allegedly attempted to snatch Lokesh’s backpack.
During the struggle, the strap of the bag reportedly broke and Lokesh fell into the water.
Police claim that Lokesh recognized one of the accused and allegedly warned that he would report the matter to the police.
According to the police, fearing identification, the accused allegedly drowned Lokesh in the water, resulting in his death.
👮 Five Accused Arrested
Police have identified the arrested accused as:
- Rahul alias Raj Singh — Nayagaon, Police Station Nagal
- Vikas — Nayagaon, Police Station Nagal
- Ramdhari — Nayagaon, Police Station Nagal
- Vishal — Rohalki Kishanpur, Police Station Bahadrabad, Haridwar
- Vikas — Rohalki Kishanpur, Police Station Bahadrabad, Haridwar
🔎 Recoveries Made
According to police, the investigation led to the recovery of:
- Two illegal knives
- Two mobile phones
- ₹1,490 in cash
- Lokesh’s red backpack
- Two motorcycles
Police say CCTV footage, technical evidence, witness statements and interrogation played an important role in tracing the accused.
🚨 Alleged Robbery Plan
Police claim that the accused had allegedly gathered information about Lokesh’s daily routine, including the time he closed the liquor shop and the route he took home.
According to the police, the accused allegedly planned to follow him on motorcycles, intercept him and rob him.
Police further claim that after the incident, the accused gathered at a location to allegedly divide the cash and belongings.
👮♂️ Joint Police Operation
The case was reportedly cracked through a joint operation involving Nagal Police, SWAT and Surveillance teams.
Investigators examined CCTV footage, technical evidence and witness statements and questioned suspects during the investigation.
The arrested accused are being taken through the necessary legal proceedings and will be produced before the competent court.
