Bhilai. During the Shardiya Navaratri Bhilai Varishth Nagrik Mahasangh (BVNMS) organised a “Naari Shakti Samman Samaroh” to honour the women at Siyan Sadan Housing Board colony. Dr Savita Gupta Professor Shankara Engeneering College was the Chief Guest and Ghanshyam Kumar Dewangan Chief Adviser BVNMS was the Special Guest. Purushottam Sahu President, chaired the programme.
At this occasion a humain chain was formed by the women to show their unity by joining hands together. The gents present also joined the human chain to support the women.
Many Hindi poems based on women strengthening were read by the women Jayati Sahu, Archna Mule, Chhaya Vishwakarma, Lalita Shriwas, Manda Wasankar, Ishwari Sahu and Tripti Nandi. About 75 women in all age groups were felicitated at this occasion by the BVNMS. Various playcards with inspirational slogans were also displayed by women.
Addressing the occassion Chief Adviser Ghanshyam Kumar Dewangan said that not only the aged women but even every baby girl child must be honoured & given full support in all respect. He told both boys and girls must be treated equally and given equal opportunity to grow up. Dr Savita Gupta said women should identify her talent and strength & come forward to achieve her target. He praised the activities and efforts made by BVNMS in support of women.
Gajanand Sahu General Secretary, Ratan Lal Goyal, JR sahu, Dr. Kantilal Vishwakarma, Babulal Sahu, Hukumchand Dewangan and many office bearers of affiliated Siyan Sadans were present at the occassion. Program was conducted by Gajanand Sahu and vote of thanks given by Dr Kantilal Vishwakarma.
